Luke Jordan grew upwardly on a farm in primal Minnesota where he spent much of his babyhood running effectually outdoors. His favorite and nearly inspirational place to visit was the North Shore of Lake Superior. He was awe-struck by the beauty of the region, and soon started venturing out on his own. During his college years, he began backpacking and volunteering for trail organizations. Later on graduating with a natural resources degree, with his college years behind him, he was ready to strap on his pack and attempt a grand adventure over the N Country National Scenic Trail. He succeeded, and became the fourth person to successfully thru-hike the trail. Known on the trail every bit Strider, he continues to share his story and inspire others to get out and striking the trail on their own adventures.
About the Author:
Luke Jordan grew up on a farm in central Minnesota where he spent much of his babyhood running around outdoors. His favorite and almost inspirational place to visit was the North Shore of Lake Superior. He was awe-struck by the beauty of the region, and soon started venturing out on his ain. During his college years, he began backpacking and volunteering for trail organizations, particularly on the famed Superior Hiking Trail. Seeking a degree in Natural Resources, he developed quite a diverse background with invasive species, trail development, and historic preservation. In December of 2012 he graduated from St. Cloud State University and decided to pursue a dream that had been almost 3 years in the making. With his higher years backside him, he was ready to strap on his pack and attempt a grand adventure over the North Country National Scenic Trail. He succeeded, and became the fourth person to successfully thru-hike the trail. The journey helped connect him fifty-fifty more with the natural world and restore a fleck of his faith in humanity. Known on the trail as Strider, he continues to share his story and inspire others to exit and hit the trail on their own adventures.
